Dave Van Bebber was called to FBC Buffalo in September of 2015. He and his wife Valerie have four kids: Johnathan; Evie; Violet; and Elisha. Some of their favorite family activities include riding bikes together, playing board games on their weekly “Family Fun Night”, and camping.
Dave is a Missouri State graduate, a graduate of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Southwest Baptist University.
Pastor Van Bebber served for 8 years in the US Army as a Flight Operations Specialist, ending his military career as an E-5. Besides pastoring Brother Dave has taught at MSU, OTC, and SFCC.
Some of Dave’s personal hobbies are studying apologetics and systematic theology. He is an avid reader and cyclist. Dave is also an SCI survivor, and a published researcher. He currently host a podcast "T.A.G. You're It!" with apologist Adam "Ray Ray" Cochrun.
Our Youth Director
Donna Moriarty is a lifelong member of FBC Buffalo. She accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at FBC Buffalo at the age of 9.
She and her husband Mark have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Spending time with grandkids and antiquing are two of her favorite pastimes.
Donna graduated from Burge School of Nursing in 1983. In 1987 she completed a Nurse Practitioner Program through The University of Kansas (KU). Besides directing the FBC Buffalo Youth Program, Donna is employed by Lebanon Mercy OB-GYN and by the Dallas County and Hickory County Health Departments.
In 1995 Donna began a 7 year term as Youth Director at FBC Buffalo. During her first tenure as Youth Director, she led the FBC Buffalo Youth to Glorieta, New Mexico for a week long mission trip; the trip was taken by Amtrak. Donna also led a Youth Mission team to Kalamazoo, Michigan where two youth were baptized in Lake Michigan.
Mrs. Moriarty has served at FBC Buffalo in other positions including Director of the Children's Department where she served from 2007 until accepting her current position as Youth Director.
Our Ministry Assistant
Connie Derks has served at FBC Buffalo in the role of Ministry Assistant for 12 years. She is married to Larry Derks and is a mom of 5, grandma of 12, and great-grandma of 2. When you call FBC generally, you will be fortunate enough to get to visit with Connie.
Mrs. Derks is a resource for almost all relevant church related information, and FBC Buffalo is blessed to have her on the ministry team.
Our Nursery Supervisor
Brittany Barclay has served at FBC Buffalo as the Nursery Supervisor since 2014. Brittany is trained in CPR and First Aid through the Red Cross. She is married to Billy Barclay Jr. and she is the mother of Billy III, Addyson, Mallory, and Averie.
FBC is blessed to have Mrs. Barclay on staff. She is vigilant in working to maintain a safe environment for the children of FBC. Brittany is available to discuss any special needs your children may have or any concerns you might have about the nursery environment at FBC.
Our Children's Ministry Directors
Jessie Allred joined FBC in 2016. Jessie accepted Christ at a young age, and has served in various children's ministries from her youth through adulthood. Jessie and her husband Cray are raising two daughters, Lydia and Charlotte. Jessie enjoys reading and being outdoors.
Becky Rash has been a member of FBC Buffalo since 2016. She accepted Christ as her savior as a young child and was baptized at North Park Baptist Church in Humble, TX. She married Casey Rash in 2004, and together they have three children: Maddy, Jace, and Makenna. Becky's hobbies include horseback riding, crafting, and reading novels. Becky has a passion for serving the children in her church and community, and believes that children's ministry has an important, supportive role for parents. She loves helping families teach their children about Christ and creating a foundation of faith that will guide them their whole lives.
